A catch-all feature that is activated for a certain mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise put, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled address under the same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial if you run a business, for example. Since you may start receiving junk emails, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters in order to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a few features, but it’s extremely easy to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have set up will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you will only have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the particular address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires yet another click on the exact same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
A catch-all address can be configured with several clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated plan with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered via our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to create mailboxes under any domain registered here. To activate the catch-all option for a certain mailbox, you’ll have to click on the logo with the same name, which will be on the right side of each email address. Deactivating this functionality can be achieved in the very same fashion and will not take more than one click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been enabled for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or replace any feature automatically.
